Lawrence County quarterback Noah West made sure his team would advance to the second round of the Class 3A playoffs.
West rushed for 393 yards and seven touchdowns, converted nine, two-point conversion and picked off a pass late in the game to secure the Bulldogs’ thrilling 78-74 win over Western Hills.
For his efforts, West has been named EKB Sports’ Player of the Week.
He had touchdown runs of 35, 8, 4, 14, 4, 3 and 50. He accounted for 60 points.

Johnson Central running back Joe Jackson ran for 179 yards and one touchdown and caught three passes for 136 yards and a score in the Golden Eagles win over Bourbon County.
Shelby Valley running back Seth Johnson rushed 14 times for 267 yards and four touchdowns, including three in the second half, to power the Wildcats past Middlesboro.
Mingo Central quarterback Daylin Goad passed for 353 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Miners to a big home win over Winfield.
Johnson Central running back Devin Johnson ran for 156 yards and three touchdowns to help the Eagles advance.
Belfry running back Isaac Dixon ran for 90 yards on three carries and two rushing touchdowns as the Pirates rolled past Garrard County. He also returned the second-half kickoff 75 yards for a score.
Pikeville quarterback Connor Roberts passed for 112 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the Panthers opening-round win over Pineville. He also rushed 74 yards and one score.
Mingo Central receiver Drew Hatfield hauled in six passes for 206 yards and three touchdowns in the Miners win.
