Shelby Valley girls basketball has been a family tradition for a number of years.
The tradition will continue with the announcement that assistant coach Doe Doe Rowe was named on Wednesday as the new head coach, replacing his brother, Rodney Rowe.
Rodney leaves the program after 11 successful season. He was named 15th Region Coach of the Year after leading the Lady Cats to the All “A” Classic championship game and berth in the 15th Region tournament.
