Sophomore Boo Newsome finished in a tie for third at 5-over, one stroke behind Hannah Griffith of Cumberlands for the individual title. Newsome finished the first round in a tie for first and fell just short of the title, but still earned all-tournament honors
As a team, UPIKE finished just seven strokes behind Cumberland for third. Pikeville finished the first 18 holes one stroke ahead but couldn’t hold on after the Bears and Phoenix battled all day for the third-place spot.
Junior Adriane Mason finished tied for 21st at 17-over, while Alexis Stambaugh and Grace Morris tied for 31st after shooting 24-over, and Ashley Richmond finished one stroke behind them at 25-over.
