UPIKE BASKETBALL: Bears slam dunk Ohio-Eastern

University of Pikeville landed seven players in double-figure scoring as the Bears rolled past Ohio-Eastern, 120-48, in a game played at the UPIKE Gymnasium on Sunday.

Jordan Perry led the way with a game-high 22 points as the Bears improved to 6-0. Xaviar Gaona and J.J. Ramey followed with 14 apiece while Luke Layhew had 12 points and 11 boards. Chaz Hinds also finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds while Dez Brown tossed in 11 and Korbin Spencer chipped in 10.

The Bears shot lights out, hitting on 51 of 78 attempts from the floor. UPIKE made good on 12 of 18 free throws.

UPIKE will return to action this coming weekend at the UPIKE Gymnasium, hosting the Walters Auto Classic starting Friday night.
