PIKEVILLE – Alumni athletes from the University of Pikeville have been challenged to match athletic director Kelly Wells’ $10 donation to kick off the fundraising campaign for the 2018-19 season.
It started with a single check from Wells and quickly blossomed into over 40 alums making their own pledging while challenging their former teammates and friends.
All proceeds from the challenge will go to a general fund to support the success of the UPIKE athletic department.
Those with PayPal can answer the challenge online by sending a payment to ar@upike.edu. Simply login to your PayPal account, click send payment at the top right, and send your payment to the email ar@upike.edu. To make sure the funds reach athletics, add a note to the payment for: Athletics $10 Challenge.
Checks will also be gladly accepted when mailed to 147 Sycamore St., Pikeville, KY, 41501. Attention UPIKE Athletics.
