Tug Valley’s second-half comeback falls short

NAUGATUCK – Tug Valley’s improbable second-half comeback from a 20-point, halftime deficit fell just short as Tolsia held on for a thrilling 44-36 win at Bob Brewer Stadium Friday night

Tug Valley quarterback Tyler Chaffin ignited the comeback, passing for 261 yards and three touchdowns, all to Caleb May. May had six catches for 205 yards.

Chaffin, meanwhile, rushed 15 times for 64 yards and one score.

Tolsia quarterback Tanner Copley rushed for 149 yards and four touchdowns on 16 carries as the Rebels improved to 4-1.

The Panthers, now 2-2, will journey to Buffalo (0-5) next Friday night. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
