Toth steps down as Logan coach

EKB Sports has learned that Logan High School head football coach James Toth has resigned his position.

Toth, a former high school standout at Man, led the Wildcats to a 2-8 season, following former head coach Gary Mullins’ resignation.

Logan Athletic Director Brian Atkinson said Toth was pursuing other opportunities.

The Wildcats lost eight of their final nine games.

Mullins, along with assistants David Toney and Jimmy Sheppard has stepped down during the off season.

Toth was inducted into the Man High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2008.

He held other coaching positions as Man, Wahama and Point Pleasant.

Logan will open its schedule on Aug. 23 at home against the Hillbillies.
