Tigers no match for Indians in opener

CHAPMANVILLE – Chapmanville Regional fell behind early to Sissonville and the Tigers came up on the short end of a 41-13 decision in a game played at Tiger Stadium last Friday night.

The Indians built a 21-0 halftime lead before Nick Collier ran 16 yards for a CRHS score in the third period.

Chapmanville’s only other points came on a 27-yard pass play from quarterback Chase Berry to Brennan Williams in the final period. Berry passed for 154 yards.

Running back Dillon Renninger led the ground attack for the Tigers with 73 yards and 21 carries.

Chapmanville will host Poca (1-0) Friday night.
