PAINTSVILLE – Paintsville running back Joshua McClurg carried 13 times for 132 yards and one touchdown to help lead the Tigers to a 48-6 win over Harlan in a game played at Memorial Field this past Friday night.

The Tigers, now 2-0, rushed for 329 yards as a team and added 87 yards through the air.

Quarterback Jake Hyden rushed eight times for 85 yards and two touchdowns while passing for two other scores.

Lamar Larry rushed for another score. Chris and James Allen each had a TD reception.

The Tigers journey to Frederick Douglas (2-0) Friday night to take part in the Mingua Beef Jerky Bowl. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.

LONDON – Prestonsburg running back Ethan Varney scored on a six-yard run to account for the Blackcats only score in a 44-6 road loss to North Laurel this past Friday night.

North Laurel running back Hutton Shepherd rushed for three touchdowns in the win.

The Blackcats, now 0-1, will visit Lawrence County (1-1) Friday night. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.

JENKINS – Jenkins quarterback Lance Bentley tossed a pair of touchdown passes to Jordan Bates and Brady Rose rushed for another score in the Cavaliers’ 54-18 home loss at Tommy Brush Field to Twin Valley, Va., this past Friday night.

The Cavaliers will journey to Morgan County (0-1) for a game Friday. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.

PINEVILLE – Letcher Central went on the road for a second straight week and came up on the short end of a 40-22 decision to Bell County this past Friday night.
