Prestonsburg High School athletic director Ricky Thacker has told EKB Sports that Brent Rose has been hired as the new boys basketball coach, replacing Brandon Gearheart.
The Blackcats finished 14-19 this past season, reaching the 15th Region tournament.
In addition, Brad Burchett was also named new boys soccer coach. He replaces Emily Rizzo. The Blackcats finished 7-14-0 this past season.
