GOODY – Belfry’s bone-jarring ground game rushed for 485 yards and the Pirates crushed Bryan Station, 54-21, in a game played at CAM Stadium this past Friday night.
The Pirates, now 1-1, were led by Isaac Dixon’s 133 yards on eight carries. Peyton Hensley added 125 yards and three rushing touchdowns on 17 attempts while Ben Bentley finished with 120 yards and scored three, including a 57-yard punt return.
Jalen Burbage totaled 133 yards rushing and one rushing touchdown on 16 carries. He passed for another.
Belfry will return to action Friday night at home against Newport Central Catholic (1-2). Kickoff is 7:30 p.m.
