East Kentucky Broadcasting has confirmed that former Pikeville High School basketball standout Wyatt Battaile will continue his playing career with Morehead State University.
Battaile, the 15th Region Player of the Year, finished up his career with the Panthers scoring 2,211 points while leading Pikeville to back-to-back berths in the Kentucky Sweet 16 tournament.
He scored 771 points his senior year and averaged 24.1 points per game while playing in 32, the most he had appeared in during a single season.
His per-game average climbed from 10.1 points per game as a freshman to 17.2 points per game as a sophomore and 20.2 points per game as a junior.
