The Pikeville 10-and-under Cal Ripken all-stars fell in the state championship game to South Lexington, 10-0, Monday night at Veterans Park in Lexington.
Pikeville finished play 3-1 overall, including two pool-play wins before advancing to state bracket.
The all-stars were made up of 9-and-10-year-old players, as well as one eight-year old, playing against mostly travel teams consisting of 10-year-old players.
