PRESTONSBURG – Prestonsburg High School soccer standout Elizabeth Burchett has been chosen first-team, all-state.
The talented junior led the Lady Blackcats to a 16-7-1 season. She scored 58 goals and assisted on 12 others.
Lawrence County junior Sarah Lycans was a second-team pick. She was a big element in helping the Lady Bulldogs reach the Semi-State 8. She scored 11 goals as Lawrence County finished 19-2-0.
Johnson Central sophomore Lauren Johnson was an honorable mention pick, along with Prestonsburg junior Makayla Ousley. Johnson had 43 goals for the Lady Eagles who ended the season at 17-3-0. Ousley totaled 24 goals and 22 assists.
Other area players included East Carter senior Taylor Hall (1st team); Ashland-Blazer junior Abbby Huff (2nd team); Russell seniors Abby Keeton and Kynidee Allen (honorable mention); and Perry Central senior Madison Eversole (honorable mention).
