Paintsville volleyball standout inks with Marshall

Paintsville High School volleyball standout and all-state player Megan Taylor signed a letter-of-intent Wednesday afternoon to play on the college level with Marshall University.

She was a six-year member of the Tigers program, having guided her team this past season to a 34-5 overall record and berth in the state volleyball tournament.

During her time as a member of the Paintsville program, she helped her team to an overall 170-37 record.

Taylor, the daughter of Billy and Angela Taylor, was named the Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association’s 15th Region Player of the Year and first-team, all-state selection for the second straight season.

She finished out her career with a school-record 2,965 kills.
