‘Not in our house’ – Eagles thump Tomcats

PAINTSVILLE – Johnson Central spoiled Ashland Blazer’s perfect regular season with a convincing 47-24 win over the Tomcats at Eagle Field this past Friday night.

Quarterback Ryley Preece rushed for 110 yards and four touchdowns to help the Golden Eagles improve to 8-1 overall. Running back Devin Johnson carried 17 times for 145 yards and Joe Jackson added 94 yards and one score on 17 rushes.

The Golden Eagles clinched home-field advantage throughout the upcoming playoffs.

Johnson Central will host Belfry (8-1) Friday night. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
