There were several solid performances this past week as teams earned bids into the 15th Region tournament.
Johnson Central’s Grant Davis and Pikeville’s Kendal Hall both played key roles in helping their respective schools advance.
Davis had four hits, including a pair of doubles and drove in two runs while Hall had six hits, including two doubles, scored four runs and knocked in five. They share Mountain Top Sports’ Player of the Week honor.
Other top performances included:
Pike Central’s D’Sean Prinkleton, who had five hits, including a two-run homer and RBI double while driving in four runs and scoring once.
Johnson Central pitcher Chloe Vanhoose who pitched and hit the Lady Eagles to the district championship.
Belfry’s Sean Cochran who had five hits, including a double, scored twice and batted in four runs.
Johnson Central’s Hunter McCloud blasted a home run, had two singles, scored two runs and drove in three runs.
Pikeville’s Randi Delong collected five hits, including two doubles, scored five runs and knocked in two.
Pikeville’s Nate Collins finished with four hits and drove in four runs.
Johnson Central’s Abby Fannin had three hits, including a home run and double, scored three times and knocked in five runs.
Belfry’s Brett Coleman finished with three hits, including a triple, scored four times and batted in two runs.
