NEWTOWN – Mingo Central quarterback Daylin Goad passed for 286 yards and five
touchdowns, including four in the opening half as the Miners defeated Logan, 50-8, on the soggy turf at Buck Harless Stadium this past Friday night.
Goad completed 12 of his 13 pass attempts, including six to Drew Hatfield who finished with 137 yards and a pair of touchdowns receiving. He also rushed 60 yards for another. Billy Mitchem had two catches for 81 yards and a score.
The Miners, now 2-1, will visit Sissonville (3-0) and the Wildcats (1-2) will host Poca (3-0) Friday night.
