NEWTOWN – Mingo Central quarterback Daylin Goad passed for 147 yards and five touchdowns and rushed for 47 yards and a score to lead the Miners to a 44-7 win over Chapmanville Regional on a cold, wet and windy night at “Buck” Harless Stadium this past Friday night.
Receiver Drew Hatfield had four catches for 49 yards and two touchdowns while Billy Mitchem, Isa Scales and running back Dougie Dillon had TD catches each. Dillon also ran for 133 yards and a score.
Chapmanville receiver Dillon Renninger hauled in two passes for 77 yards and a touchdown. Quarterback Chase Berry passed for 93 yards and running back Nick Collier finished with 91 yards on the ground.
Mingo Central, now 7-2, will host Winfield (4-5) and Chapmanville (5-4) closes out the regular season at Man (5-4) Friday night. Kickoffs are set for 7:30 p.m.
