Entering his sixth season as a coach; two at Eastern Kentucky University; two at Russell County High School; and beginning his second season at Phelps and first as head coach.

Attended Williamson High School prior to attending  University of Charleston and EKU grad school; and University of the Cumberlands.

What is your coaching philosophy? “Everything starts with respect. Respect tradition, respect the game, respect other and most importantly respect yourself. I want these young men to be contributing members of society after they leave Phelps High School. I  want them to be great fathers, brothers, sons, cousins, uncles, etc. I want them to want the best for themselves and to always set achievable goals. If they follow this philosophy through  life, it will make them that much better of a person. Football is just a game. Life will go on with or without it. What I teach them about life is far more than X’s and O’s.”

Favorite artist or group? “A Day to Remember.”

Favorite music? “Rock.”

Favorite food? “Cereal.”

Who is your hero or heroes? “Without question my dad. He has guided me in the right direction and has been there as my biggest supporter.”
