Paintsville and Pikeville advanced to the 15th Region All “A” Classic championship match with identical 2-0 victories in the semifinals played at the McCoy Athletic Center on Wednesday night.
The Lady Tigers blanked Bets y Layne, winning 25-22 and 25-12 while the Lady Panthers advanced with a 25-8 and 25-16 match score.
Hailey Little had 17 kills and four blocks for Paintsville while Kara Ward finished with nine kills, five blocks and three aces.
Bella Blackburn totaled 32 assists and Alissa Mullins collected 12 digs.

East Ridge took charge early on against Jenkins and cruised to a 3-0 victory in a road match played Wednesday night.
Lakin Puckett had two kills, three digs, three serving aces and 19 assists in the 25-5, 25-12 and 25-3 win. Amber Justice finished with 11 serving aces and one dig. Lexy Little had five digs and five kills and Sarah Tackett totaled nine kills and three digs.

Letcher Central..1
Letcher Central dropped the final two sets of its match with Eastside (Va.) as the Cougars fell 3-1 in a match played at LCCHS gymnasium on Wednesday night.
Summer Madden had 11 kills and five digs in the 25-27, 25-15, 24-26 and 22-25 match. Kyann Williams and Emmalee Banks had eight digs apiece while Madison Mason finished with 15 digs.

Magoffin County struggled in its home match with Jackson City as the Lady Hornets fell 3-0 on Wednesday night.
Abby Hannah finished with four kills, one block and five digs in the 16-25, 9-25 and 13-25 setback. Tarah Russell had one block, three digs and three aces while Mackenzie Bailey collected four digs.
