HS VOLLEYBALL ROUNDUP: Paintsville dominates in win over JC

Paintsville took charge early on against cross-town rival Johnson Central and the Lady Tigers rolled to a 3-0 victory on Wednesday night.

Hailey Little finished with eight serving aces, 10 kills and one block in the 25-9, 25-9 and 25-14 win. Hadley Hardin totaled eight kills, 12 digs and one block.

Kara Ward followed with 12 kills, one block and one ace while Alissa Mullins collected 16 digs. Bella Blackburn totaled 27 assists and Shelby Hatfield managed four aces.

In other matches Wednesday:

Tug Valley defeated Prestonsburg, 3-0, winning 25-16, 25-11 and 25-13.

East Ridge dominated from start to finish as the Lady Warriors cruised past Phelps, 3-0, in a match played at the Reservation on Oct. 8.

Sarah Tackett totaled 17 kills and five digs in the 25-8, 25-10 and 25-16 win. Lakin Puckett finished with 30 assists, two digs and 13 serving aces. Alexis Little had 11 digs and Haley Parks added 10.

Hannah Blackburn managed six kills and four blocks and Amber Justice had four digs and three aces.
