HS SOFTBALL ROUNDUP: Keeton pitches Tigers past Dawgs

PAINTSVILLE – Paintsville ace pitcher Anna Keeton allowed just four hits as the Lady Tigers slipped past Lawrence County, 4-2, in a game played April 24.

Abigail Williams and Clara Blair each drove in one run as the Lady Tigers improved to 13-10. Elizabeth Williams had two hits.

Lillian Kinser knocked home both runs for the Lady Dawgs,  now 15-7. Alli Triplett was tagged with the loss.

LICK CREEK – East Ridge pounded out 14 hits, but the Lady Warriors were on the short end of an 11-5 score to Magoffin County in a game played on the Reservation April 24.

Kennedi Stacy had four hits for the Lady Hornets, now 9-1. Samantha Black added two hits and knocked in a pair of runs while Erin Bolen added an RBI.

Bethany Joseph was the winning pitcher.

Courtney Standifur collected three hits for the Lady Warriors, who fell to 10-13. Kierstin Coleman drove in two runs.

Caitlyn Coleman was tagged with the loss.

Abigail McDougal had three singles and drove in a pair of runs as the Lady Cougars improved to 10-11. Makennah Johnson added two hits, scored twice and batted in one run while winning pitcher Abby Meade singled, scored a pair of runs and added an RBI.

Alyssa Franklin tripled, doubled and scored two runs while Gracie McDougal tripled in one run and scored.
