ERMINE – Belfry’s Kailee Rash pitched out of a bases-loaded situation in the top of the sixth inning with one out to help the Lady Pirates edge Jackson City, 3-2, in the sixth-annual Wizard of Ozz Tournament played at Letcher Central April 20.
Rash allowed two runs in the first inning and blanked the Lady Tigers over the final five frames as Belfry improved to 17-2.
The Lady Pirates managed only three hits, including one each off the bats of Linzee Phillips, Emily Deaton and Kylea Stanley, who doubled. Natalie Fite and Paula Dotson each drove in one run.

ERMINE – Letcher Central rallied for three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to slip past Paintsville, 5-4, in the sixth-annual Wizard of Ozz Tournament played at Letcher Central April 20.
Alyssa Franklin belted a solo home run to help the Lady Cougars move to 8-11. Winning pitcher Abby Meade had two hits and drove in three runs while Abigail McDougal added two hits and batted in one run.
Clara Blair drove in a pair of runs for the Lady Tigers, now 12-9. Mattie Ratliff added two hits.
Anna Keeton suffered the loss.
