The 15th Region boys’ and girls’ soccer championship matches are now set for Wednesday at the Dawg House and Thursday at Prestonsburg.
Prestonsburg boys defeated Belfry, 9-1, and Lawrence County slipped past Johnson Central, 3-1, in matches played on Tuesday night.
The girls final, which will be played tonight, saw Prestonsburg roll past Belfry, 11-1, while Lawrence County edged Johnson, 2-1. Those matches were played on Monday night.

Prestonsburg’s Dylan Moore scored three goals and teammate Matt Burchett added two goals and two assists as the Blackcats cruised past Belfry.
Grant Justice added two goals while Isaiah Collins finished with one goal and two assists as Prestonsburg improved to 17-2-2. Kane Scarberry also scored one goal.
Goalkeeper Jacob Martin allowed just a single goal.
Belfry’s season ended at 8-8-1.

Prestonsburg freshman standout Anna Burchett scored six goals to power the Lady Blackcats to the win over Belfry.
She broke the KHSAA single season scoring record with her 79th goal, surpassing a record which had stood for 17 years and was set before the mercy rule was put into effect.
Makayla Ousley followed with two goals and three assists while Elizabeth Burchett added two goals as Prestonsburg moved to 19-2-0.
Chloe Collins, Lauren Patton and Kadynce Hackworth each had an assist.
Goalkeeper Chelsea Samons allowed just a single goal to Belfry’s Kristine Brucal. Belfry goalkeeper McKenzie Maynard had 19 saves as the Lady Pirates season ends at 11-9-1.

Lawrence County’s Sarah Lycans and Ellie Webb scored one goal each as the Lady Bulldogs slipped past Johnson Central.
Camran Diamond and Brylee Blair each had an assist as Lawrence County improved to 14-5-0.
Goalkeeper Allyson Moore had 16 saves and allowed just a single goal.
Johnson Central’s season ended at 13-5-3.
