The Pikeville High School boys golf team and individual female standout Tiffany Lin captured the All “A” region tournament championship.
Lin took the individual title for girls while the boys team took top honors as well. Both now advance to the state tournament set for Bowling Green.
Meanwhile, the Panthers varsity golf team finished second at the Paintsville Invitational played this past weekend at Paintsville Country Club.
Team members include Blake Justice, Jordan Ratliff, Jon Bryant, Daniel Ratliff and Colin Street.
Pikeville coach Will Branham praised the boys for their performance and he was pleased with PHS’ lone Lady Panther golfer who fought through rain and tough competition to secure one of four individual spots in the state event.
