HS FOOTBALL: Unbeaten Bobcats knock off Hawks

Breathitt County completed an undefeated regular season with a 56-22 victory over Pike County Central at Mike Holcomb Field on Friday night.

Pike Central quarterback Tyler Hunt completed 12 of 15 passes for 118 yards and one touchdown. He also ran 22 times for 115 yards and a score as the Hawks fell to 7-3.

Wide receiver Keegan Bentley hauled in seven passes for 101 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for another score.

Running back Matt Anderson returned after suffering an injury in the Belfry game.  He rushed 11 times for 50 yards.

Nate Roberts led the defensive charge with 10 tackles, including six solo. Adrien Anthony finished with nine. Aaron Slone had a fumble recovery.

Pike County Central will begin Class 3A post-season play against Lawrence County (4-6) on Nov. 8. Kickoff from the Hawks Nest is set for 7:30 p.m.
