HS FOOTBALL: Tigers spoil homecoming for Huskies

Chapmanville ran its winning streak to three straight games as the Tigers went on the road and defeated Herbert Hoover, 32-7, in a homecoming match-up played at Joe Eddie Cowley Field on Friday night.

Quarterback Chase Berry had a big night for the Tigers, now 3-3, passing for 144 yards and rushing for 134 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries. Running back Josh Bumgarner added a pair of rushing touchdowns.

Waylon Hensley opened the scoring for the Tigers in the first period.

Chapmanville, idle this weekend, will host Wayne (0-5) on Oct. 18. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
