The last time Belfry lost two straight regular-season football games came back in 2001 when the Pirates fell to Ashland Blazer and Lawrence County.
Fast forward to 2019 and the Pirates found themselves looking to end a two-game losing streak against district opponent Magoffin County.
Belfry rolled up 527 yards in total offense, including 460 on the ground, as the Pirates steamrolled to a 59-14 homecoming victory at CAM Stadium on Friday night.
Running back Ben Bentley rushed just six times for 166 yards and two scores as Belfry improved to 3-2. Peyton Hensley followed with 106 yards and one touchdown on 13 rushes while Isaiah Birchfield added 67 yards on four carries and a score.
Quarterback Brett Coleman passed for two touchdowns and ran for another.
The Pirates will journey to Floyd Central (2-4) on Oct. 4. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
