HS FOOTBALL: Hillbillies edge Warriors; secure win No. 500

In one of the most anticipated match-ups in Class AA football this past weekend in West Virginia, Man quarterback Caleb Milton tossed a 14-yard touchdown pass to Jeremiah Harless on fourth down to lift the Hillbillies to a 30-22 victory over Wyoming East in a game played at George A. Queen Memorial Field on Friday night.

The Warriors had tied the game with just over six minutes remaining on a 55-yard touchdown pass from McQuade Canada to Caleb Bower.

Milton passed for 146 yards and the game-winning score. He also rushed for a touchdown as the Hillbillies moved to 7-0.

Running back  Zack Frye led the ground game with 64 yards on eight rushes and Cameran Frye followed with 48 yards on nine carries.

The Hillbillies, who trailed for the first time all season long in the third period, picked off two passes and recovered a fumble.

Man will journey to Point Pleasant (1-4) on Oct. 25. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
