HS FOOTBALL: Gillispie fuels Bulldog comeback

Lawrence County scored three touchdowns in a 10-minute span of the fourth quarter to rally past Boyd County, 21-7, in the Tom Scott Memorial Bowl game played at Tom Scott Field on Friday night.

Quarterback Baden Gillispie scored all three touchdowns, including his second on a 43-yard run with seven minutes, 38 seconds left to put his team ahead to stay. His first was a 15-yard run. He capped the scoring with a 17-yard run with 1:22 left to play.

He rushed 17 times for 144 yards

Lawrence County will return to the Dawg House to host Russell (2-1) on Sept. 13. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m.
