Betsy Layne went on the road to battle Raceland and the Bobcats were held to just 104 total yards as the Rams cruised to a 67-0 victory at Ram Stadium.
It was the fourth straight loss for Betsy Layne, now 2-5.
Raceland quarterbacks Jacob Heighton and Connor Hughes combined for 265 yards and five touchdowns.
Five different running backs scored touchdowns, including special needs student Matthew Richardson, who went 63 yards for a touchdown, thanks to members of the Betsy Layne defense.
In the team’s most lopsided loss this season, the Bobcats won in the end.
Coach Scotty McCoy said one of his players had a brother who is a special needs player and a team let him score. McCoy said his guys just simply wanted to return the favor.
Betsy Layne will play this coming Friday night at Paintsville (5-2). Kickoff at Memorial Field is set for 7:30 p.m.
