Man’s quest for an undefeated regular season came to an end at Point Pleasant as the Big Blacks scored a fourth-quarter touchdown and it held up as the Hillbillies fell, 7-0, at Ohio Valley Bank Track and Field.
The Hillbillies, now 7-1, were limited to just 29 rushing yards and 60 through the air.
Man’s big chance to score came in the opening half but the Hillbillies were stop on third and fourth down from Point’s one-yard line.
Running back Zack Frye rushed for 23 yards. Quarterback Caleb Milton completed six of 16 passes for 60 yards. Frye hauled in four passes for 31 yards.
The Big Blacks, now 2-4, scored the only touchdown on quarterback Evan Roach’s four-yard run with 9 minutes, 36 seconds remaining.
Man will be back in action at Tug Valley on Nov. 1. Kickoff at Bob Brewer Field is set for 7:30 p.m.
