HS BASKETBALL: Wildcats cruise past Bobcats

ROBINSON CREEK – Shelby Valley’s Cody Potter stripped the nets for a game-high 35 points to power the Wildcats to a 70-32 win over Betsy Layne at Shelby Valley Sports Center Dec. 3.

Peyton Blackburn, John Flanery and Keian Worrix added six apiece as Valley moved to 2-2.

Brady Robinson tossed in 11 to pace the Bobcats, now 2-2.

PAINTSVILLE – Johnson Central’s Cory VanHoose led four Golden Eagles in double figures en route to an 81-52 win over Jackson County in the season opener played Nov. 30.

VanHoose poured in 21 points and Isaiah May followed with 15. Gabe Ferrell netted 13 and Jacob Rice hit for 12.

Kelsi Slone scored a team-high 11 for the Lady Warriors in their season opener.
