PAINTSVILLE – Pikeville survived a potential game-tying shot with time running out to earn a 73-70 win over Paintsville in a game played on Bill “Mike” Runyon Court Feb. 15.
The Panthers, now 19-8, were led by Connor Roberts’ game-high 25 points, including 21 in the opening half. Kyle Watkins followed with 24. He netted 16 after the break.
Seth Williams paced the Tigers (17-6) with 24 points. He was a perfect 12-for-12 from the foul line. Colby Fugate came off the bench to finish with 18 and Nick Keeton hit for 11. Braxton Tharp added nine.

Cody Potter poured in a game-high 32 points, pulled down 10 rebounds, dished out four assists and blocked four shots. Cameron Worrix followed with 13 and Sam Stanley added 10.
Isaiah May paced the Golden Eagles with 23 points and Cory VanHoose tossed in 16. John King tallied 11.
