Floyd Central held on to the number one position in the latest EKB Sports’ Super 7 girls’ basketball poll, but changes followed after a wild week of action.
The Lady Jaguars, now 24-2, was the unanimous choice for number one. Floyd Central is followed by Pikeville (20-7) which climbed to its highest ranking this season in the second spot.
The Panthers are followed by Chapmanville Regional, now 14-5, in third.
Paintsville (20-8) and Prestonsburg (18-9) share the fourth position while Pike Central, now 17-9, is sixth. Tug Valley (13-5) rounds out the rankings.
Teams receiving votes this week included Letcher Central (14-7), Lawrence County (18-9) and Shelby Valley (15-13).
