One thing you can count on with Sheldon Clark sophomore Trey James is consistency.
James had games of 25, 22, 23 and 18 points this past week and a pair of double-doubles to earn him EKB Sports’ Player of the Week award. He is averaging 18 points and 11 boards per game for the Cardinals.
James edged out Johnson Central’s Cory VanHoose who had 40 points in a single game, hitting 19-of-20 shots from the floor. He also scored 17 and 14 in two others.

*Sheldon Clark’s Madison Thompson had a pair of double-doubles, scoring 23 and 22 while pulling down 21 and 14 rebounds for the Lady Cardinals.
*Johnson Central’s Ashley Belcher scored 41, 13 and 12 for the Lady Eagles.
*Lawrence County’s Cody Maynard and Tyler Maynard had big games for the Bulldogs. Cody scored 27, 30 and 12 while Tyler tossed in 22, 23 and 26.
*Pikeville’s Connor Roberts scored 23 and 22 for the Panthers and had a double-double with 10 rebounds in a game.
*Shelby Valley’s Alyssa Elswick averaged in double figures in four games, scoring 11, 23, 14 and 18 for the Lady Kats.
*Paintsville’s Colby Fugate scored 33 and 18 for the Tigers while teammate Nick Keeton had 14 points and 11 rebounds and nine points and 17 boards in another.
*Shelby Valley’s Cody Potter scored 19 and 16 and had eight and nine rebounds in a pair of wins for the Wildcats.
*Johnson Central’s Isaiah May had games of 20, 15 and 18 for the Golden Eagles.
*Belfry’s Ty May scored 12, 11 and 18 while pulling down eight, six and 10 rebounds for the Pirates.
*Betsy Layne’s Chase Mims scored 14, 24 and 10 for the Bobcats.
*Piarist School’s Kylie Tackett had games of 11 and 33 for the Lady Nights.
