ERMINE – Letcher Central built a commanding halftime lead against Estill County and cruised to a 61-31 win in a game played at Cougar Gymnasium Feb. 2.

Tyler Boggs tossed in 16 points and Greg Kincer added 10 as Central improved to 14-8. Parked Williams added nine.

MANCHESTER – Johnson Central’s poor shooting in the first half doomed the Golden Eagles as Clay County raced to a 72-59 win in a game played at Tiger Fieldhouse Feb. 2.

Jacob Rice tossed in 19 points and went over 500 assists for his career, breaking the record held by Braxton Blair at 500 back in 2015. Rice is at 504.

Isaiah  May followed with 16 points and Cory VanHoose finished with 12 as Johnson Central dropped to 18-5.
