Floyd Central’s Lady Jaguars completed the regular season with an impressive 25-2 overall record. They were a perfect 14-0 in regional games and 6-0 in district play.
They finish as the No. 1 ranked girls’ basketball team in the final EKB Sports Super 7 girls’ regular-season poll released Sunday.
Pikeville, now 22-7, claimed the number two position followed by Chapmanville Regional (16-5) in third.
Prestonsburg (20-10) edged out Pike County Central (19-10) for fourth place. The Lady Hawks are fifth.
Paintsville (20-10) is sixth this week followed by Tug Valley (15-6) and Letcher Central (16-9) tied for seventh place.
Lawrence County (21-9), Shelby Valley (16-14), Johnson Central (14-14) and Sheldon Clark (13-14) all received votes.
