Prater becomes all-time scoring leader at Phelps
LICK CREEK – Betsy Layne built a big second-half lead against East Ridge and then held on down the stretch to escape with a hard-fought 77-73 win in a game plat on the Reservation Dec. 12.
Zack Bentley tossed in a game-high 25 points as the Bobcats improved to 3-3 overall and snapped a two-game losing streak.
Jordan Frazier added 24, including 15 in the second half. Davy Bentley and Brad Robinson chipped in eight each.
Cameron Hess paced four Warriors (1-3) in double figures with 21 points. Kane Taylor followed with 17. Hunter Damron and Eli Sykes followed with 12 apiece. Dalton Wellman netted nine.

STANVILLE – Phelps standout Danielle Prater poured in 22 points to lead the Lady Hornets to a thrilling 50-47 win over Betsy Layne in a game played at Junior Newsome Arena Dec. 11.
Prater went over 1,600 career points and became the school’s all-time leading scorer in the win as Phelps improved to 4-2. She added six rebounds, three assists and had seven steals.
Gabby McCoy followed with 14 points and six rebounds.
Lauryn Watkins, Alexandra Jarvis and Katie Kidd scored 10 apiece for the Lady Bobcats, now 2-4.
