Prestonsburg’s Caroline Ariaz has been consistent all season long.
Her play at the guard position, combined with the play of Kaitlyn Keathley and Reesce Endicott has helped the Lady Blackcats to a 13-7 record.
Ariaz had a big week, scoring 25, 20 and 15 while rebounding 15 and 11 in two of three games to finish with a pair of double-doubles. She is averaging 13.1 points per game and nearly 10 rebounds.
Her effort has earned her EKB Sports’ Player of the Week.
She edged out Pikeville’s Rylee Sammons, who scored 17, 11, 14 and 10 for the Panthers who fell in the All “A” Classic title game to Shelby Valley.

Shelby Valley’s Cody Potter had games of 24 points and 12 rebounds and 24 points as the Wildcats moved to 18-2. Teammate Cameron Worrix scored 13, 12 and 16.
Prestonsburg’s Reesce Endicott had games of 20, 20 and 24 and Kaitlyn Keathley had 15 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists in one; 18 points and eight rebounds in another.
Johnson Central’s Isaiah May scored 11, 19 and 12 for the Golden Eagles.
Pike Central’s Cassidy Mullins had games of 21 and 32 to help the Lady Hawks continue their winning ways.
Magoffin County’s Brady Whitaker scored 27 and 23 in back-to-back games.
Betsy Layne’s Brady Robinson had games of 19 and 17.
Pikeville’s Connor Roberts scored 12, 12 and 13 for the Panthers.
Johnson Central’s Ashley Belcher had games of 25 and 21 for the Lady Eagles.
Phelps’ Danielle Prater had games of 23 and 15 for the Lady Hornets.
