HS BASEBALL: Valley rolls past East Ridge

ROBINSON CREEK – Shelby Valley’s Jackson Wierwille pounded out three hits, scored four runs and drove home another to help lead the Wildcats to an 18-3 mercy-rule win over East Ridge in a game played at Dale Trivette Field March 27.

Logan Billiter doubled and singled, and scored three runs as Valley improved to 3-2. Winning pitcher Luke Roberts and Hunter Mullins each singled and scored three times while knocking in a run.

Issac Baldridge had an RBI-single for the Warriors, who dropped to 1-3. Garrett Jones singled home one run.

ROBINSON CREEK –  Shelby Valley winning pitcher Hunter Mullins had four hits, scored four runs and knocked in a pair to lead the Wildcats to a 12-2 victory over Jenkins in a game played at Dale Trivette Field March 26.

Jackson Wierwille collected three hits, scored once and drove home three runs while Logan Billiter added two hits, scored, and batted in a pair of runs. Sam Brown doubled, singled and scored twice and Gabriel Brown singled knocked in one run and scored twice as the Wildcats evened their record at 2-2.

Alex Belcher walked twice and had an RBI for the Cavaliers, now 0-3. Hayden Fleming took the loss.

RACELAND – Johnson  Central fell behind early to Raceland and the Golden Eagles came up on the short end of a 10-3 score in a game played March 26.

Chayce Meade doubled home a pair of runs for Johnson Central, now 4-1. Blake Delong added two hits, scored and batted in one run. Hunter McCloud had two hits, including a double, and scored once.
