PIKEVILLE – Pikeville hurler Grayson Harris did his part to keep the Panthers in their All “A” Classic sectional against Raceland.
Jake Heighton was one up on him as the Rams eliminated Pikeville, 2-0, in a game played at Davis Park April 20.
The Panthers, who dropped to 6-10, managed only two hits, including a triple off the bat of Nate Collins, who was left stranded.

GREENUP – Johnson Central took control early in the game and the Golden Eagles recorded their 20th win with a 12-2 victory over Wheelersburg (Ohio) in the final game of the People’s Bank Classic played April 20.
Winning pitcher Blake Delong allowed just two hits and had two of his own, including a double, and drove in three runs as JC moved to 20-1. The Golden Eagles have now won 16 straight.
Grant Davis added two hits, one a double, and knocked in two runs while Ryley Preece had three singles and scored three runs. Hunter McCloud singled in a pair of runs.

Karsten Poe doubled, singled, scored and knocked in two runs to help support winning pitcher Zach Taylor.

Cody Rice added two singles, scored three runs and batted in two while Weston May singled twice, scored twice and drove in two runs. Winning pitcher Conner Lemaster added three hits, including a pair of doubles.

GREENUP – Johnson Central erased a two-run deficit in a big way, scoring 17 runs in the top of the sixth inning to get past Greenup County, 20-7, in the opening round of the People’s Bank Classic played April 19.
Ryan Sartin-Slone had three hits, including a home run, scored three runs and knocked in four as the Golden Eagles moved to 18-1. Ryley Preece doubled twice and batted in four runs while scoring three.
Hunter McCloud added three hits, one a double, scored twice and drove in two runs while Blake Delong doubled, singled, scored a pair of run and knocked in two. Cody Rice collected two singles, scored three times and batted in two runs.
Grant Davis was the winning pitcher.
