Highlands provided free physicals for area athletes

A team of Highlands professionals just completed 82 free sports physicals for students from Floyd, Pike and Martin Counties.

Each physical examination, needed before students can participate in athletics, would have been $140 each out of pocket cost.

Highlands saved families across the region a collective amount of $11,480.

Those who took part in the exams were Dr. Matt Turner, Nurse Practitioner Kristen Jones and Registered Medical Assistant Michelle Marrs.

Highlands extended a special thanks to host Prestonsburg High School.
