Belfry High School’s 2019 Hall of Fame inductees will be honored during halftime of the Pirates home football game against Lawrence County on Friday night at CAM Stadium.
Here is a quick glance at each of the 2019 inductees:
Barry Crum (1993-97)
He played basketball at Belfry and later at the University of Pikeville.
He currently resides in Allen, with his wife, Teri Lee, and their three children.
Jonah Caudill (1999-2003)
He played football four years at Belfry and broke the career rushing record.
He finished with 57 touchdowns and scored 364 points.
Raymond Justice (1972-76)
He lettered in baseball, basketball, football and track, and went on to excel at Eastern Kentucky University.
He served as an assistant coach under Hall of Famer Tommy Dean Runyon for six years. Also coached at Letcher County Central and East Ridge as a head coach and assistant at Knott County Central.
He resides in Hindman with his wife, Bethany and two sons.
Shane Hensley (1989-93)
He participated in football at baseball for four years. He went to the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry.
He resides in Pikeville with his wife, Kelli, and his three children.
Steve Mickey (1976-2009)
He began his coaching career serving as offensive and defensive line coach.
He coached in six state championship games and was part of the staff which brought home back-to-back titles in 2003-04.
He resides in Forest Hills with his wife, Barbara.
Vicki Hall-Ramey (2000-04)
She participated in basketball and volleyball, scoring 1,636 career points on the hardwood.
She attended Pikeville College on a volleyball scholarship where she was a four-year starter.
She resides in Ashland with her husband, Joe, and their two children.
Bennett West (1978-Present)
Started his 41-year journey of keeping stats for Belfry sports.
He has worked over 3,500 games across all sports.
He is a retired teacher, having taught at Red Jacket Grade School, Bevins and 20 at Belfry High.
He resides at Sidney.
Jonathan Wright (1996-2000)
He excelled in basketball and football over four seasons.
He passed for 5,365 yards and threw for 63 touchdowns. Both are school records.
He received a full scholarship from Pikeville College and was part of inaugural football team.
He resides at Goody with his wife, Beth, and their two children.
Shae Deskins (2004-08)
She played basketball for four seasons.
She ended her career with 2,007 points.
She attended the University of Pikeville and is now an attorney practicing in criminal defense in Floyd County.
She resides in Belfry with her son.
Sissy Charles (1983-85)
She participated in basketball and was a member of the state runner-up team in 1984.
She received a full scholarship to Pikeville College.
She resides in Pikeville with her three children.
Tyler Williams (2008-12)
He was a dynamic leader among athletes on and off the field.
He played baseball and football.
He received a scholarship to the University of Pikeville to play baseball.
He was fatally injured in a tragic ATV accident in 2014.
