Floyd Central opened its volleyball season with an impressive 3-0 win over Belfry (1-1) in a road match played Tuesday night.
Alexis Daniels had 11 kills and Allison Turner added seven in the 25-20, 26-24 and 25-16 win. Kiara Warrens collected 12 digs while Amber Stumbo finished with seven. Caroline Parsons totaled 31 assists.
East Ridge improved to 2-0 with 3-0 win over Phelps (1-2) in a match played at The Reservation.
Hannah Kings led the Lady Warriors with 11 kills while Kelsi Slone had 12 digs and 10 receptions. Haylee Boyd had 23 assists.
Prestonsburg snapped a four-match losing streak by defeating Magoffin County, 3-0, to win its first match this season.
