The Shelby Valley Wildcats have climbed their way back to the top position in the latest EKB Sports Super 7 boys’ basketball poll released Sunday.
Valley improved to 17-2 by edging Pikeville in the 15th Region All “A” Classic championship game.
Chapmanville Regional and Logan are tied in the second position. The Tigers are 12-1 while the Wildcats are 11-1.
Paintsville, now 12-3, is fourth this week, followed by Johnson Central (13-4) in fifth.
Rounding out the poll are sixth-ranked Lawrence County (13-6) and number seven Pikeville (11-7).
Pike Central, now 13-7, and Letcher Central (10-7) received votes.
