The Paintsville Lady Tigers went to Gatlinburg, Tenn., this past weekend and left town with a championship and their unbeaten record intact.
Paintsville, now 9-0, remains the number one ranked team in the latest EKB Sports’ Super 7 girls’ basketball poll.
Two other unbeaten teams are ranked behind Paintsville as Floyd Central (9-0) claims the number two position followed closely by Lawrence County (9-0).
The Letcher Central Lady Cougars, now 7-1, claim the number four position this week while Logan (5-1) takes the number five spot.
Pike County Central (7-5) is sixth, followed by Shelby Valley (6-6) at number 7.
Chapmanville Regional (3-1), Pikeville (5-5) and Phelps (5-4) received votes.
