The Paintsville Lady Tigers are among four area teams undefeated early on in the high school basketball season.
Coach Les Trimble’s team has made its way to the No. 1 position in the first EKB Sports’ Super 7 girls’ basketball poll with a 6-0 record.
Paintsville is followed closely by Floyd Central (5-0) and Logan (3-0), second and third, respectively.
Lawrence County (7-0) is fourth, followed by the Letcher Central Lady Cougars (5-1) at number five.
Rounding out this week’s poll are Pike County Central (4-4) at number six and Johnson Central (4-3) in the seventh position.
Chapmanville Regional (3-1) received votes this week.
