The Paintsville Lady Tigers held on to the number one position for the third straight week in the latest EKB Sports’ Super 7 girls’ basketball poll released Dec. 30.
Paintsville, now 11-0, was followed by Floyd Central, 12-0 after winning the championship game in the Montgomery County Gateway Holiday Classic Sunday evening.
The Lady Jaguars are followed by Logan (6-1) and Lawrence County (10-2) tied for third place.
Letcher Central (8-3) is fifth this week, followed by Pike County Central (10-5) and Pikeville (8-5).
Johnson Central (8-6) and Prestonsburg (7-5) received votes.
